Carrie A. Koontz received her Juris Doctor degree and LLM degrees in
Intellectual Property from the John Marshall Law School in Chicago,
Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from
Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. During law school, Ms.
Koontz served as the extern for the Honorable Donald O'Brien, Lake
County Illinois Superior Court. Ms. Koontz has extensive experience in
various areas of the law, including areas of corporations, bankruptcy,
family law, immigration, intellectual property, general civil
litigation, probate administration and insurance defense. Ms. Koontz
is admitted to practice in Indiana. In addition, she is admitted to
practice before the United States District Court for the Northern
District of Indiana and the United States District of the Southern
District of Indiana, The United States District of the Eastern
District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the
Seventh Circuit. Her professional affiliations include the Indiana Bar
Association, the St. Joseph County Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta
Legal Fraternity, the Volunteer Lawyers Network, Lawyers for the
Creative Arts, and the Young Professionals Network.
