Gene A. Pinkus is a founding partner of Kopka, Pinkus, Dolin & Eads, P.C. He specializes his practice in the defense of first-party fraud litigation defending insurance carriers. He has conducted hundreds of examinations under oath for many clients including State Farm, MetLife, Cincinnati Equitable, Go America and Farmers. He travels around the country lecturing on first-party issues.

Mr. Pinkus is admitted to practice law in Indiana , Illinois and Ohio and has a regular practice in each state.

Mr. Pinkus' trial experience includes the defense of first-party fraud litigation, consumer fraud, involving auto dealerships, product liability, premises liability, construction litigation, civil rights litigation and employment discrimination litigation. Early in his career, Mr. Pinkus specialized in workers compensation litigation and has handled complex workers compensation cases for many carriers and self-insured companies. Mr. Pinkus has tried cases in Indiana , Illinois and Ohio. He has been admitted pro hac vice in California, Wisconsin and Nevada.

Besides attending many national conferences on fraud issues. Mr. Pinkus' professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association, DRI, various local and state bar associations, and the National Society of Fraud and Arson investigators. Mr. Pinkus recently lectured in Louisville, Kentucky, at the NSPII - 2008 Advanced Insurance Fraud Seminar, topics included: Indiana bad faith and first-party claims.

Mr. Pinkus received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo School of Law where he also received his Bachelor of Arts degree. While in law school, Mr. Pinkus was awarded the American Juris Prudence Book Award in Business Association II and while an undergraduate he was a Phi Sigma Alpha scholar.

Mr. Pinkus is actively involved in the management of the firm as well as the overseeing of many of the firm's clients. He is involved with clients in litigation management issues and including alternative billing arrangements.
