James E. O'Gallagher received his Juris Doctor degree from Indiana University School of Law at Bloomington in 1990 and was admitted to practice in the state of Indiana that same year. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Marquette University in Milwaukee , Wisconsin in 1987. Mr. O'Gallagher has extensive experience in civil litigation, including insurance defense, employment law and the defense of workers' compensation claims as well as general practice. He represents numerous employers, third-party claims administrators and insurance companies throughout the state. He has successfully tried numerous cases and has argued 20 cases before the Full Board of the Indiana Workers' Compensation Board, as well as litigating cases before the Indiana Appellate Courts. He frequently conducts seminars and speaks to professional groups as well as writes on the topics of worker's compensation and employment law. Mr. O'Gallagher is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts in the northern and southern districts of Indiana . He is a member of the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana (DTCI), Worker's Compensation Section. He is a partner in the firm since 2000. Since January, 2005, Mr. O'Gallagher has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Loyola University School of Law in Chicago , Illinois where he teaches contract law.
