Steven J. Landau founded this lawfirm, then known as Kopka, Landau & Pinkus in 1999. Steven J. Landau was a certified public accountant and attorney at law. He was formerly a member of the management committee and the Chief Financial Officer of Landau, Omahana & Kopka. In 1999, he founded the law firm of Kopka, Landau & Pinkus and he served as managing partner until his unfortunate death in 2001. Mr. Landau received his juris doctorate from the University of Illinois in 1982 and his Bachelor of Science degree with highest honors from the University of Illinois in 1978, the same year that he became a certified public accountant. Mr. Landau guided our firm's acquisition of state of the art technologies and information systems, supervised our firm's in-house MIS department which customizes all of our software and maintains all of our computer hardware and supervised our firms' billing and accounting departments. His professional associations included the AICPA and the Illinois CPA Societies. His commitment to the highest ideals of our profession continue to guide our lawfirm.
