Thomas E. Rosta is the managing partner of our Indianapolis office.  He received his Juris Doctor degree with high honors from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, and his Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame. Prior to joining Kopka, Pinkus, Dolin & Eads, Mr. Rosta was a named partner with the law firm of McQuillin & Rosta, P.C., which provided general legal assistance in Northwest Indiana.

Since joining Kopka, Pinkus. Dolin & Eads in 1997, he has received extensive jury trial experience in civil litigation, including trying in excess of 150 jury trials, with a substantial number of defense verdicts and jury awards less than the last offers made on cases.  These trials have involved numerous and complex first-party and third-party litigation, specifically in the areas of automobile, trucking, construction, premises liability, medical and hospital malpractice, products liability, real estate, bad-faith cases and discrimination cases.  Mr. Rosta has represented numerous insurance companies, health care and long-term care facilities, physicians and other health care providers, national construction companies, amusement parks, and various businesses in all phases of litigation.

Mr. Rosta has been a speaker at many seminars on bad-faith litigation, trial techniques,   aggressive trial strategies, new issues affecting the insurance industry, and defense of construction cases. He has presented the defense perspective on Tort Law at the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum seminar for each of the past four years.  He has written several articles for the Indiana Lawyer, including articles on emotional distress claims in Indiana.  He has served as an arbitrator on many three person and one person arbitration panels. 

Mr. Rosta is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana and the United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit, as well as all state and federal courts in the state of Indiana. His professional affiliations include the Indiana State Bar Association and Defense Trial Institute.
