Timothy M. Palumbo received his Juris Doctor degree from St. Louis University School of Law in 1985. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude in Political Science from Bradley University in Peoria , Illinois in 1982. Prior to joining the firm of Kopka Pinkus, Dolin & Eads, Mr. Palumbo concentrated his practice in commercial litigation and personal injury defense litigation in downstate Illinois . He was appointed Assistant City Attorney for the city of Alton , Illinois , defending the city in tort and labor-related matters and in administrative hearings before various state agencies. Since joining Kopka, Pinkus, Dolin & Eads, Mr. Palumbo has concentrated his practice in the defense of product liability litigation and construction litigation. He has successfully argued before both the First District and Fifth District of the State Appellate Court in Illinois , and tried cases in multiple jurisdictions in both Illinois and several other states. Mr. Palumbo is counsel for a nationwide manufacturer of hospitality industry furniture and both coordinates and personally handles this litigation nationally. Currently, his practice includes defending product manufacturers and distributors in strict product liability litigation, including both bodily injury and property damage claims, along with a significant commercial premises liability practice. Mr. Palumbo is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and before the United States District Courts for the Southern District of Illinois and the Northern District of Illinois. He has also been admitted pro hac vice before multiple federal district courts and various state courts for the purposes of product liability defense.
